We started the 4th off right with a ward breakfast. Pancakes, sausage, and fruit were substituted with patriotic donuts, milk, and juice because of the power outage. Nate went early to help set up a bazillion chairs and the girls loved taking them down. Good little Mormons in training.
Nate spent a little leftover b-day credit on a soccer ball for the girls which they (Kendyl) had been begging for. I love Josie's little action shot. It makes me hopeful that some of my genes were swapped with athletic Vasher ones. The girls can inherit my hair, height, or inability to function without chocolate. But if even a drop of their mother's coordination made it into their genetic make-up, they are doomed to be last pick on P.E. teams and their exercise limited to treadmills and stair-steppers forever.
With no plans for the day other than staying cool, we ended up doing the same thing as last year. We walked through a mall and skipped the fireworks (impossible to watch if your plans include staying cool and a 7pm bedtime).

This year:
Same stroller arrangement. Just picture Josie with an afro of curls and Kendyl with less chocolate on her face.
